Default Dragons breath vs. clean barrel

We all know, or were at least told that dragons breath ammo in a 12 guage will cause fouling. Does anyone have suggestions for rounds to alternate with db to increase efficacy? Flechettes? Bird shot?
Assuming line in the sand use for an apocalyptic defense.
What's you're12 guage apocolypse round of choice, and why?

Just shoot a few standard shells out of it, should do the trick.

Wouldn't following it up with a slug clear that fouling?

    birdshot.
    because meat target.
cheap, abundant, effective against soft and squishy areas of mass at short range.

    apocalyptic defense?
sticky fire and items on the far ends of the PH scale.
cheap, abundant, apocalypse doesn't have agreements, conventions, trials or other pesky human rights issues.

what is dragons breath made of? magnesium?

Yep, magnesium. Some if the ads say 140 yds at 5000 degrees, others say 100 feet at 4000 degrees. I tend to believe the latter.

I was actually hoping for some more exotic suggestions, like brillo pads soaked in Hoppes and loaded into brass rounds.

I've shot flechette rounds from my 12 guage, wasn't particularly impressed. I did see them fired from a 105 RR while we were taking fire on a hill
outside of AnHoa. The order was "mow the grass".
    They did.
