Came up in conversation during my sons trail of life meeting. Guy was fairly knowledgeable about firearms and such, and didn*t seem like a crackpot.

More details on other parts. Vista Outdoors and Sierra bullets getting the ammo business, some pieces going private equity, Ruger gets Marlin, Franklin Armory gets Bushmaster, Sportsmans Warehouse get Tapco

So in the end of Remington, parts of the company will go many places. But what about the Model 700 rifle, Model 870 shotgun and the other guns made by Remington proper? Really just curious. Those were quality products and with proper QC could once again become products worth having.

You will find Marlin had a similar stamp way back when they were still Marlin.

    I have a ~1985 Marlin 336. I couldn't name 1 more model of firearm that Marlin produces.

Today if I were going lever I'd go Henry.
