Default Ruger to buy Marlin for $30M

Ruger to buy Marlin's assets for $30M. Probably a good move for both parties considering the fairly cheap price and Remington running them into the ground.

That's great news really. Ruger from my experience makes great quality guns backed by pretty awesome support, unlike freedom group or whoever bought out marlin last time around. I think they eventually got the kinks worked out and went back to making awesome marlin brand guns, which I would expect to continue and improve with Ruger keeping tabs.

I see it as a win for ruger , got an email from them saying " long live the lever gun " so it looks like levers will be in the line up !

Going from Remlin to Ruglin . . . Marger?

    Can only be an improvement.

Any truth that freedom group is owned and or controlled by soros?

Great news. If it happens I would consider a Marlin again.

I see ruger owning marlin better than remington, but dislike brands merging as it makes a bigger target to go after and if finances go bad lose two brands
