I'm sort of confused. 32 win special is a superior cartridge to 357 or 44-40.

why would you want to destroy a classic deer rifle ?

I'm not destroying anything. I already have calibers far superior to the 32 special that I hunt with. Search GB and you will find currently, 3 Winchesters in 44-40. There are 42 available in 32 Special. Or as a gun writer once wrote....."What's so special about the 32 special?"

I can't count the number of 32 Special's I've looked at and passed at gun shows.

getting it reworked to feed the shorter pistol cartridges would be big big money other options are rebarrel to 30/30 or 38-55 or one could get the original barrel rebored and rifled bigger to say 35 or 375 or even 40 cal, the 35/30 is a dandy wildcat and you could load it from mild 100 gr pistol bullets up to 280-300 gr cast bullets .

I nice condition they command a good price. The .32 WS is a great deer round. Not so common as you infer. I did not get the same results from GB. But sell it if you will - and enjoy.
