I would get a lawyer. I think you have to appeal soon (within 30 days?).

You only have 30 days to appeal, get that sent out quickly and chat with a lawyer. Josh Prince (sigforlife) and Phil Kline (gunlawyer001) on here are two good lawyers.

Maybe consider recontacting the sheriff and showing proof that the warrant was satisfied. The sheriff might reconsider if everything else is clean.

Ya the lady that worked for the office said the system kicked it back for that that's all she knows

I said what should I do. Handed me the appeal and said send this in if you have had 3 permits and nothing has changed. Said no nothing, just in 2012 . She said send this in.. she was super busy. So I went home and called they said I owed 16.50 I paid it. She lifted it. But the sheriff's offices wasn't helping. She said thats weird your a renew. And have nothing new... Made me crazy all day I have nothing higher then a disorderly conduct and it's a summary.

If PICS isn't reflecting the change, and issuing a denial as a result, I don't believe a Sheriff has the authority, or even the logistical mechanism to override that, even if he personally is aware of the factual status of the situation.

Ya it stinks I have no felonies no misdemeanors no drugs . I had no idea I had the warrant. For $16! . But I cleared it up . . I moved and thought it was payed 8 years ago but my calculations must have been wrong. I still owed a small amount. I just don't want a problem.

I'm not an expert but to my knowledge the challenge form is to challenge mistaken identity or false/wrong information criminal history. If you are saying this charged and warrant existed during the time you applied you might be committing another crime by sending in the form. Especially if you satisfied the warrant after you were denied the LTCF. Better contact an attorney to resolve this.

Just a question, some summary offenses are they all considered a crime ? Would a summary offense for disorderley conduct non physical prevent you from keeping your LTCF ?
