It was the "ok" sign. It's a myth that it's a supremist sign. It was started as a joke on 4chan trying to get media outlets to pick it up as a supremist sign, media fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

When confronted with the prank origins, the woke folks doubled-down and said "maybe it started as a joke, but the white supremacists adopted it and now it's a real white supremacist sign".

They have no evidence for that claim, but they have no evidence for most of their cultish beliefs.

Why do they keep referring to the Proud Boys as a "white supremacist' group? Isn't the founder and CEO black?

I mean, I know this is the Loony Left we're talking about, but even for them it's a bit of a stretch.
