I need some suggestions
I've had it with semi auto 22 caliber pistols. I find them to be more trouble than they're worth. How about some recommendations on a 22 caliber revolver, at least if the primer doesn't go off I can pull the trigger again and I will not have to clear a jam. Joe

Ruger Single Six.
I'm curious though which semi autos are giving you so much grief. If none of them say Ruger on the side, maybe start there.

I have a Smith and Wesson Model 617. My first gun. A little pricey but reliable.

Re: I need some suggestions
I'm on a similar hunt, but for 22 mag for purely self defense reasons (recent thread on 8 and 9 shot revolvers in 22 mag). As other have said, the ammo could absolutely be a factor with a semiauto. Example being my wife's Walther...wont run anything but high velocity. Rugers MK series (MK 1/2/3/4) is generally very well regarded and tends to function with most types of ammo. Mines been fantastic through 1000s of rounds, and was well used when I got it. If I keep it clean(ish), it always runs right.
That said, if you're set on a revolver, the big question would be if you want single or double action. If single, Ruger Single Six or Wrangler, Heritage Rough Rider, or many of the older H&R models would fit the bill. Many single action will be old west style without a swing out cylinder, if that matters. If double action, you've got the Ruger LCRx and LCR, Taurus 992/942/94, a slew of S&Ws (there's a bunch of them and I'm no S&W expert...617 and some of the model 17s though, I think), a handful of the older H&Rs yet again plus some of the High Standard line.

Re: I need some suggestions
I think the Wrangler is a good choice. Not a work of art, but seems much better constructed than a Heritage Rough Rider, and they can still be found for under $200. I just can't see spending $500 for something like a used Single Six. Don't get me wrong, they are very well made (well, at least older ones), but $500 for a .22?
But if you just want to pull the trigger, now you're in DA territory and expect to spend some coin. Unless you can find a decent deal on a High Standard Double Nine or Sentinel. Last year I got a Sentinel for like $200. Not a museum piece, but pretty well made and very reliable.
