8 or 9 shot 22 Mag revolver in Da/Sa?
Anyone know what options are out there for a higher capacity Da/Sa revolver in 22 Magnum (more than 6 shots, ideally)? I know theres some options in 22LR and those are under consideration as well, but ideally looking for 8 or 9 rounds of 22 Mag. Ruger LCRx would fit the bill but everything I'm seeing says the 22 mag version is only 6 shots and the 22lr is 8.
Backstory is we're looking for a first carry gun for the wife, who doesnt want to move off of rimfire at this point. She gets that centerfire handguns dont hurt per se, but is extremely recoil averse. I'm fully aware of the caliber implications and have had her try numerous other options, none of which are currently on the table/would sit in a drawer instead of be carried. I'm with her most of the time so it's unlikely she'll have cause to use it, and hoping it serves as a stepping stone to something larger. Da revolver is a must in my mind, in case of a misfire; Sa capabilities are more a strong preference.

Not that I would ever recommend a Taurus

Thanks for the tips! The 648 looks is a beaut, but too big to carry. The 351c is DAO but I see they have a Da/Sa version called the 351PD that I might have to keep an eye open for a used one. That one fits the bill, but not cheap at $650-700 new. The Taurus is actually kinda intriguing the more I read. On first glance, I agree on carrying Taurus but I've actually had really good luck with their stuff personally. Swappable cranes, and most reviews look ok. The Taurus 942 was on my list already, so it looks like this just gives the option to change calibers.

You can get a Ruger GP100 .22LR with a 10 shot cylinder (if you can find one ).

The Bunker in Warminster has had one for a while now. It was there two weeks ago. $649 is the asking price. Spicy IMO, but not off from other offerings. But the OP wants a .22 Mag.
OP - Personally, I'd never carry a rimfire for self defense. Rimfire ammo just isn't reliable enough. If your wife is recoil shy, try a .38 special with cowboy loads. You won't get much softer than that in a centerfire cartridge without going to a .25 cal semi-auto.
