You can jar up and can dry goods. Look into it amd stop pissing away money.
You can buy hermetically sealed food grade barrels and buckets for beans and flours, salt and sugar, etc.

Isn*t worth the 60 bucks. Wise, now operating as *ready wise*, is a known bad actor in the preparedness community. They are known to lie about their food storage practices, leading to a product that well not last as long as advertised.
Mountain House very publicly called them out for being trash & lying.

Post 28 is by mountain house.

MountIan House is an indisputable leader in the field, and no one questions their products. Both them and augusta farms have been tested and proven reliable by individuals, labs, and people who have used their products on or after their minimum shelf life.
Wise (ready wise) food never even so much as issued a rebuttal, or PR statement. Let alone sueing mountain house for lying and hurting their brand.
Wise was also deceptive (extremely so) in listing number of servings. Sure, you could figure out that a serving in a package marketed as dinner for a family of 4 was only 200 calories a person, but you would have to do the math.
Again, all of this is well known in the proper community.
And wise food (dba ready wise) lost a class action lawsuit over it.

Which doesn*t even get into their heavy use of TVP, which is unhealthy, especially for men and children.Last edited by PAMedic=F|A=; September 13th, 2020 at 08:39 PM.

You can not can dry goods. Unless you spend thousands of dollars on a retort canner, which is really sealing in Retort bags like MREs. I*d argue that a home freeze dryer is more useful/cost effective & saves more space.
You can seal Dry goods in Mylar with an oxygen absorber.
Pinto beans are about the only thing that doesn*t work, because they eventually get so hard with age you*ll never get them to cook/soften."Cives Arma Ferant"
