although, of the 97 pages they have on gb, the rampant stupidity in 95 of them, i can't blame them for (other 2 pages are "buy now" non-auction)

Thought it would be a good place to post in person ammo sighting.

I was at Johnston's sporting goods in Croydon yesterday doing a transfer. I haven't been there since it was across the street as part of the auto business. Nice store. Friendly owner.

They had lots of ammo in stock. Limits on some varieties. Pricing was certainly not pre riots and covid, but also nowhere near the worst I've seen.

They pretty much had all calibers in stock. Maybe not my top pick brands. But any port in a storm.

Not having bought any ammo in about a year, I was feeling a little psychological buying withdrawal. In putting together a "care package" for my daughter and her family, looking through what I currently have, it helped make those symptoms go away. It's not alquite what was meant by "seeing is believing" but sometimes it helps.
