    Default Philadelphia LTCF approval/denial question

Hey guys I’m fairly new to the forum world but have gotten significantly in to firearms within the last year. I’ve legally purchased a few firearms recently and went last month to get my LTCF and I’m still waiting on word for approval or denial. I’m just curious on everyone’s opinion on what may be the outcome. I was totally honest about everything and disclosed my ARD expungement for felony criminal trespassing that happened about 5 years ago and I have an OTH discharge from the US Army. Now to the best of my knowledge the expungement shouldn’t disqualify me nor should the OTH considering state (PA) and federal only disqualify those with a dishonorable discharge. Now in saying that I’m assuming they would of course try to screw me with the character clause. If that is the case and I’m denied my LTCF, do I have a shot at winning an appeal and do you guys recommend a lawyer or is this something I could handle on my own?

If you are denied, get a good firearms lawyer.

Knowing phillys history, expect to be denied.

Lol yeah I’m already kind of expecting that to be the outcome which is definitely infuriating. Any recommendations on firearms lawyers?

Typically the go to guys around here are Phil Kline and Joshua Prince.

I believe they both refer to a Mirowitz(spelling may be off) for cases in philly though.

Im sure someone, or phil himself(username is gunlawyer) will be along to better guide you.

    Phil is gunlawyer001@gmail.com.

Hopefully they just issue it and you can avoid everything, but that would take a good dose of luck. Hopefully you can update us with good news!

That’s what I’m hoping for, I was telling my wife I’m pretty confident I could win the appeal but it’s just all that unnecessary BS I’m gonna have to deal with smh filthadelphia at its finest.

My husband was denied his permit from Philly about 4 years ago and we appealed. I had a lawyer friend of mine go with us. Hopefully you won't have to go that route but if you do, I could give you my friend's name. His cost will be a fraction of what the gun lawyers want to you charge.
