EDIT: There was another guy behind me in line @ 3:10 just outside the entrance doors into the sheriffs office. I overheard him talking to the female officer checking applications behind me; Female officer checked his name and notified him he wasn't on their list of people scheduled for the day; he said he was told by so and so to show up @ 3:15. Female officer relayed the info to the other officers behind the desks inside the sheriffs office...they looked around the office (it's just me) and allowed him to enter to submit his application after I left.

I'm almost positive this guy just walked up at the end of the day and BS'd his way in.
Not related to the renewal process...my LCTF just came in the mail today...turnaround from appointment was 2 weeks. Not bad considering the full 45 day turnaround I had expected.

Yes but how many fewer are they processing now that they only take appointments? The appointments are so spaced out they are currently booking for Feb 2021. It didn*t use to be this way.

Just to update anyone else in Chester County who*s looking to obtain their LTCF. I just scheduled my appointment on their website today (Dec 30th 2020) and the earliest appointment they had is AUGUST 24, 2021!!! Insanity.

One other note, I went for my 'renewal' appt. on the 16th (scheduled in the summer the day I got my renewal notice) and was able to walk out with my new hot off the press LTCF. A first for me here in Chester County.

Mine is due for renewal May 2022. Just hope there is such a thing at that time.
