People that plan to survive by stealing at gunpoint are likely to have short lives after societal breakdown.

Then you have no reason to complain.

I think the crouton shortage was because resources were going to making actual bread which was being sold out. Stauffer's makes their own croutons fresh every day from the fresh bread that's left over from the day before. They got low because people were buying almost all the bread on a daily basis there for a while.

If it were me, I'd have just baked my own bread, then turned them into croutons.

Kitchen garbage cans.... I've been to Walmart, Lowes, Target and my daughter was as Ikea yesterday. The sections of trash cans are essentially empty. Are trash cans a prepper item?

It can hold rainwater, be used to haul belongings, slept in depndong on size, etc.

I work on the grocery side, so I don't know about cans, but for a while, trash bags - all of them - were as hard to find as toilet paper.
We are getting them in more regularly now, but I still can't find the Great Value 39 gallon lawn and leaf bags I like to use.

I just assumed with everyone home, they all decided to "clean up".

Kosher salt. Do not use table salt for preservation. The iodine in it will discolor the food.

Large trash cans sure. I'm talking about the smaller 13 gal kitchen trash cans.

    I hadn't noticed a crouton shortage.

I saw yeast on the shelf yesterday for the second time in months.

Pumpkin is supposed to be scarce due to a shortage of some sort. Everyone keeps asking for it.
I grabbed three cans when I saw a few cases come in.

I'm looking forward to Post Grasshopper Panic Sell Off. Should be starting soon as all the grasshoppers that went out and bought a bunch of "preps" start selling it off to buy Christmas presents.
