Phone Number from a Name/address
Is there any reliable way to get a phone number these days with a name/address? The online whitepages is a subscription now. Can you go to the tax office and lookup owners info? I’m about to write a letter and drop into the snail mail, but just thought I’d ask beforehand.
(The hunting land next to mine just sold and I wanted to contact the owner to introduce myself and offer any help/cooperation between us. His name and PO Box is on the No Trespassing signs)SigGendered

Re: Phone Number from a Name/address
Sometimes an internet search can get you a phone number.

Re: Phone Number from a Name/address
If it's public, an internet search should reveal it. I don't know if the tax office would share that if they have it.

Re: Phone Number from a Name/address
Many of those online search things are scams.
Sometimes you can connect enough dots to get a phone#. Then factor in that many folks have dropped landlines in favor of cell service, which isn't published. Some counties also publish the property owner contact info online via their tax parcel map or GIS property records.
You can go to the county tax/deed office to get said info. That is what we have to do sometimes to get Right-of-Ways for poles/lines/etc.
Bedford County GIS = https://bedfordcountypa.org/departments/gis.php
Zoom in, allow the map to populate info. Click on the parcel, a popup window will show parcel info. At top of popup is an arrow to go to other tabs of info. Some have full address of owners.

anywho.com was my go-to years ago but it's probably not the same any more.

I think the county tax map/service is a good idea, but don't know if they list phone numbers.
The snail mail letter might be your best bet, short of bumping into the landowner on your rounds.

Re: Phone Number from a Name/address
My view: if you call me and I do not know you, it*s spam! I*m on alert the minute the phone rings.
Better idea: you have his PO Box number. sit down and write him a nice letter, by hand, legibly written, with a nice greeting/welcome to the neighborhood. THAT will get read.
Might not get the reaction you want, but a cold phone call definitely won*t in all likelihood.
Good luck.
