Bucket list Colt AR-15 SP1 finally found and comes home !

Its been a few years Ive been watching for a nice Colt SP1 sporting rifle and while I still kick myself for not buying one I found in Corning NY and paying to have it shipped,
I kinda bought this one sight unseen for a very kind price thinking it would be pretty well used and possibly not all original,
Well when I went to pick it up from local shop I had it mailed to, I was quite pleased,,
Im so happy to finally have a Colt SP1 in my collection and while I cant wait to shoot it, Im thinking it didn't see much range time, The gas tube has zero discoloration and no brass on the bolt head and the original finish is surprisingly clean.
Guess Ill fondle it for a bit and shoot something else until I get used to the fact Im going to shoot it.
Just thought I would share my good fortune.

A friend of a friend inherited a bunch of guns from his father , and one was a very early , NIB Colt SP-1 , in .222 Rem.! These were made for export to countries that did not allow civilian ownership of military caliber firearms.
