Default 25 years and finally back home

Hi everyone! Newbie here with my first post.

Moved back to Johnstown (2005) after 25 years living/working in the Northern Virginia area. Worked for Larry Pratt at Gun Owners of America for ten years before retiring and moving back. I was the Public Liaison for GOA. I answered snail mail and emails from members and non-members.

It was a fun job and a great gang to work with but I don’t miss the beltway traffic and the high cost of living. It’s good to return home and be with family and old friends.

If you ever get to speak with Larry tell him Frankie Pejack said hi.

Welcome back! I just moved from PA and will have to be separated from the great state until my .mil time is completed. I got 3 more years that I'll spend in Colorado Springs, CO so it's not too bad, but I do plan on moving back so my wife and I can raise our kids there. I'm from Loretto and when I ran EMS I was in Johnstown daily. I love the area. Congrats on moving back and save a place for me!

Thanks for the note and the service to your country. Those next 3 years will fly by. I did 4 years active duty USMC Oct. 70 to Oct. 74 and got out an E5. You were EMS? My daughter does admissions at the emergency room in the Medical Center here in Johnstown. You probably have met her. God speed, stay safe and enjoy every moment with your family.

Welcome back, I moved here 7 years ago to raise my kids in a normal area. I lived in Annapolis MD (peoples republic of Maryland) for over 18 years. My wife is from Johnstown and I love it here. I still work in Annapolis on the weekends, but if you ever need help with anything please let me know.

These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Thomas Paine 1776

    pjax,
    Good to have you aboard!

Nice to see more folks from "home" signing up here.
I grew up just outside of J-town.

Initially, your screen name lead me to believe you drive a truck.
(Years ago, my father worked for PJAX for a short time.)
I see from another post, that probably isn't the case though.

I'm happy to see another member who has been active in defending our gun rights, as well as our country.
Thank you for your service in both endeavors.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
