Yeah, I'm in that same boat. Did not stockpile deep enough before all this started. Also never got myself set up for reloading.

I have probably a year's worth at my usual training/recreation clip, but given the current situation I'm now treating what I've got as 'strategic reserve'.

So I'll probably constrain myself to something like 50 every-other-week and buy boxes of the overpriced stuff for that until (fingers crossed) things settle on the supply side.

If you remember the 20% coupon, harbor freight hammers are cheaper. Probably more effective too. Also better given today*s 9mm prices.

I get that they are ugly and that 9mm is expensive, but i don't think anybody would contend that a hipoint isn't effective. There is a reason that nobody who actually owns one has described it as their worst gun.

Yeah, man. Besides I need something to test my reloaded ammo in and carry to events where it might get temporarily confiscated.

I'm one of those guys that keeps a very well stocked ammo supply. Mostly handloaded, although I do have a few cases of factory ammo stored too.

My wife and I shoot every weekend, 100 rounds each. She's been shooting 9mm (Glock 26) and up until last month, I've been shooting .22lr (Ruger MKII and Browning Buckmark). I'll be shooting 100 rounds of .45acp (Sig P220) to be ready for dept qualifications next month.

With hunting season coming up, I expect we will be shooting a bit less, but I'll be shooting my hunting handguns more.

I have enough ammo, between handloaded and some factory to keep me going until this madness calms down. Been through it before, just have to weather the storm.

I just bought a bolt action rifle in 7.62x39 and a 1x6 LPVO optic so now I will be able to shoot for the next 5 years.

I could shoot 22lr, 7.62x39 liberally for the next few years, 9mm and 223/5.56 if I cut back a bit on them and restock in small quantities here and there if possible.

If Trump wins I think we will be fine by the 3rd quarter of 2021, if he looses well then we are probably fucked ammo shortage or not.

How crazy is it that it has become more economical to buy a new gun to keep shooting?
