    Default Hogue Wood Grips

Anybody else like the wood revolver grips from hogue? They're pretty well known for their rubber grips but I never hear any praise for their wood grips. I bought a set of grips that had a finger groove and it didn't fit me well. Their customer service was great and I ended up exchanging them and getting another set. They feel great in hand and I think they look really good too.

I love Hogue wood grips. They can make a nice revolver even better looking or you can go hog(ue) wild with some really exotic or laminated woods.

Not revolver, but I put a set of Hogue checkered rosewoods on my P226

Best part of them is they don't use any coating on the wood. It's just wood and oil. There was a very slight lip along the backstrap where the 2 panels join. I quick hit with a fine file, some sandpaper and a rub down with oil, they were perfect.

Added the Sig medallions myself a couple days ago. And used P239 grip screws with some shims under the heads to get them to sit a bit closer to the surface and properly clock the slots. Although I got a set of hex screws on the way. No matter which way I index the screw slots I'm just never happy with them. Horizontal, diagonal, inline with the grips, inline with the checkering. They just never quite look right.
