I am directly pointing at you, cdi. I really don't care what you think you researched, just warning somebody that may be unaware. If the "Research" was worth anything, it would have been published long ago, or been rebutted by the GC. Here is both sides of the story. What you do after that is up to you.

All this banter illustrates the danger of going into the field with that converted AR. There are WCOs with varying opinions as there are here. There is no way of ensuring you will be confronted by "the right one".

I put my faith in CDI's input considering the research he has described. I see only opinion from Gunplummer. When he can show statute law or game law backing his input, then he moves ahead of CDI.

    Play on.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Please cite the actual law that you believe covers your opinion.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

There is not one law quoted in this thread. Not one. It is all a bag of loose possibilities.

Then quote us the law. You're not some shithouse lawyer are you? Quote the law that supports your position.

I think we have a Democrat in the house.

Law of internet debate says he who yells the loudest is always correct.

You don't have to be a dick about it.
.308 is way too big for whitetail. You should convert a 10/22 to single shot instead.

There is no distinct law, that is the whole point. Over the years I have seen people get fined and lose there license over the dumbest shit. Why chance it? If you want to do it , go ahead. Just be aware of the complications. Can you even imagine getting in an accident and standing in court trying to explain your position?

The law says no semi automatic rifles. My rifle is no longer semi automatic. If a Game Warden can make my gun fire semi auto, I'll happily go to jail.
