I have heard someone describe the Glock as the "Toyota Corolla" of handguns. Its economical, low maintenance, and most importantly its reliable. Its not going to win any beauty contests, and its not gonna win a race. So to me I think the re-release of an early model Glock would have about as much excitement as Toyota doing a re-release of an early model Corolla.

I thought the same thing. Mines still laying around here somewhere.

Yup, there was actually a ton of reliability improvement on the Gen5 models. Watch this:

To that guy's credit,he got right to the point of his video rather than start off with a bunch of bullshit preamble which exacts a toll on my patience and attention span.

Yup. It's a long video because he's extremely detailed - not because it's a bunch of BS filler.

Yeah I gathered all of that in the beginning after watching for a few seconds.I'll watch the rest of it later or whenever I get around to it.

I first saw them a few weeks back and researched. I have a couple real Gen 1's and thought this would be a nice addition but only at $600 or under. Just won an auction so adding one of these "P80's" to the collection

Nice - got me beat by a few bucks. I checked out completed auctions on GB and was amazed at what some folk paid for one! Congrats!
