Re: AR15 madizines
Magpul Gen 2s and 3s work well. Both have polymer feed lips though if that bothers you. Gen 2s used to ship with a cover that could clip onto the top of the mag to press down on the top round to relieve pressure on the lips because there were some instances of feed lips cracking. I haven't had any crack personally. The newer ones I've bought have not included the covers.
Lancer mags are polymer mags with metal feed lips. They've worked well for me too.
D&H mags from PSA are my favorite metal GI mags and the price is on par or better than most other options. They have anti-tilt followers. One thing I like is that the edges are not as sharp as some other GI mags I have.
Okay Industries Surefeed and Surefeed E2 mags both work well too and come with anti-tilt followers. The black and tan magazines are Teflon coated, but the last batch I bought had some sharp edges. YMMV.I am not a lawyer.

Re: AR15 madizines
By the way, I always download 1 round, not because of pressure on feedlips, but because it makes administrative reloads easier. Not my idea, some tactical trainer with a lot of YouTubes.
If the bolt is locked back, it doesn't matter, but if your bolt is forward, and you do a tactical reload the pressure makes it more difficult to seat the magazine, and you might not bang it home hard enough and it could drop. If you download just one round, locking a mag in under a closed bolt is much more reliable.
I thought it made a lot of sense, and only load 29 now.

Re: AR15 madizines
I've paid for a lot more parts and stuff using mags for trade than you would believe.
Problem is, now I'm almost out of "trade stash". LOL

Re: AR15 madizines
Well, I suggested Palmetto because they are reliable and I've ordered quite a bit from them, ammo, mags, spare parts and recently a Sig Romeo 5. They weren't the cheapest price you could find on the Romeo but they ship the factory certified pieces and unlike Amazon I feel secure plopping down cash knowing I won't receive a counterfeit which a huge problem on Amazon and other sources. The Romeo was 10 bucks more than Amazon.
Most of the D&H mags I bought from Palmetto were like $6.99 or $7.99 and I bought them in 5 or 10 packs. I have one Magpul that came with my Colt. It works, I would have bought some of those when i was buying the D&H but the prices were wildly different at the time, not so much now. People are buying them up like crazy that's why prices are up but it's a shame you still have to explain that. I prefer to buy from reliable sellers rather than the cheapest because there are so many scams out there and I'll admit they've gotten me a few times trying to save a buck or two.Corruption is the default behavior of government officials.
