Two days before D(JT)-Day, ammoseek.com shows steel case .223 starting at $.52/round and brass case at $.67/round. midway.com shows Aguila 5.56x45mm(brass) available at $.57/round, in a 1200 round case only, limit one/customer. 9mm brass case, 115 gr. FMJ starts at $.48/round.

I decided to pick up a bit of ammo with war being waged in Europe. I used ammoseek.com and found Miwall Corp. to be one of the lower priced listings for Wolf steel cased .223, 55 gr. FMJ, and Remington brass cased 9mm, 115 gr., FMJ. I ordered on 3/16/22 and it arrived today 3/24/22. The .223 came in at $.449/round, and the 9mm arrived at $.382/round, both including s&h + tax.

This is J.I.C. ammo and with inflation and supply chain challenges, I can't imagine that ammo is going to get any cheaper or easier to acquire any time soon.

In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796
