Will have solvent traps and a few other goodies start coming available in a few weeks.
While solvent traps may be a prudent idea for many, If the switch gets flipped and we go full game on, The noise I'm making will go way down on my list of concerns

True enough, but I would like to not be deaf if I can manage it. Shooting overbore cartridges with aggressive brakes is no good for my ears lol

The absolute best thing you can do now is to start changing your way of thinking. There is all likelihood that we are in the early stages of major civil unrest, a coup on the US government, and if things keep going with China, perhaps WW III.

When explaining the Holocaust to my daughter, she asked why anyone would let that happen. Or why all the Jews just didn't move away from Germany before they were taken away. My answer was denial.

When Hitler got elected and blamed everything on the Jews, everyone said it wont go any further.
When the country rioted against them, burned the synagogues and took their property, it wont go any further.
When they were forced into camps, that's where it will end.
Forced labor, what more could happen?
    Then 6 million dead.

I'm sure that the Jews that fled Germany in the late 30's were laughed at for overreacting. I doubt anyone in 1938 thought it would end where it did.

Adjust your thinking now. It CAN happen here.

Everyone has to start thinking now how much they are willing to take and what you are going to do when it happens. When are you going to take up arms? When are you going to move to Montana? Or Fiji?
Are you mentally prepared for life in Nazi occupied France? Or Stalingrad while under German Siege?

No amount of Mountain House or water filters is going to matter. The tough and lucky will survive, the rest are dead. Prepare yourself for hard decisions. Read "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. Make peace with your creator of choice. Enjoy what you have now, while you have it. Pray it all blows over.
