It is a typical 'feel good' measure where the unintended consequence could be someone getting hurt or killed. As a practical matter it is worthless...

They believe it will allow domestic abusers who want buy a firearm in a rage to kill their significant other, or those wishing to commit immediate suicide a time to cool off and think it over.

Ohh and 'for the kids" and all.

Apparently a firearm is now the only way to kill yourself or someone else.

    Control the media. Check.

    Control education. Check.

    Defund the police. Check.

Ignore burning, looting, and violence by "peaceful protesters". Check.

Disarm the populace. Still working on that one...

I can't decide if the democrat playbook is based on the communist manifesto or Mein Kampf.

    This^^^

Death by 1000 cuts. These bogus laws never go away once enacted, so they stay, doing nothing but hindering law-abiding citizens forever.

MD pushed a 7-day wait years ago, to give NICS checks time to be thorough. Now in the age of instant checks, the law is still there, giving
every legal purchase a thought-pause, if it's really worth the hassle to deal with all the red-tape... Mission accomplished..
