Carbine weight. It arrived today so I'm going to shoot tomorrow! 1 round into the magazine at a time, I'll tune my gas block, shoot a few rounds with the regular buffer and then switch to the MARRS buffer.

Mine does appear to have a thread locker on it. I had a hard time adjusting it at first but I got it moving. It has magnetic tension against the back of the screw that I imagine also prevents it from moving.

Here's what it looks like next to a standard H2

I don't have an adjustable gas block. With my carbine length system, i had the marrs buffer set all of the way in and then backed off a half turn. I wasn't getting the bolt to consistently lock back on an empty magazine with it screwed down. But no failures to extract/eject nor failures to feed.

Yes. That is exactly what the h1 i got looked like at the threads. I wonder if somebody complained about a backing out screw.

I did go shooting today but had so many issues with my rifle that I never even got around to putting the new buffer in it. I don't imagine I'll be going again any time soon.

Not to get too off topic, but what sort of issues?

Sorry.. That sucks. I'm planning on taking out my first complete build and hoping i don't have any gas issues. Well it is my second. But the first was a blowback pcc, so gas issues are nonexistent.

So I finally got to test the MARRS buffer today and it was awesome. That sharp punch from the carbine length 7.62x39 gas system is gone.

Did you have the set screw maxed out all of the way in or somewhere in the middle?
