    Default Remington Model 12

A friend of mine just gave me a Remington Model 12 in 16 ga. I know nothing about the model 12.
What do I need to know?
What would be nice to know?
    History?
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Winchester model 12 = slide action shotgun

Remington model 12 = slide action .22 calibre rifle

You are right Winchester Model 12. My friend told me Remington. I figured he knew what it was.

It'll slam fire 3 shots at a rabbit mighty fast. Hold the trigger and pump.

After getting this 16 ga pump I started looking for used 16 ga shotguns. I found one lasst weekend at a gun show. 16 ga sxs in decent shape. The price was ok.
I like sxs so this pne fits nice in the collection. some one decided to hand checker the forearm and stock. They did a good job.
