Re: Ruger 10/22 garbage trigger, what to do?
They are fairly easy to perform a trigger job on. Mod the stock unit & save money.
It pays to become a trigger specialist..literally.Remember Biden the Pedophile! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSRqaO6DXcA

Best $45 you can spend. They have other options. Just send your trigger

Re: Ruger 10/22 garbage trigger, what to do?
I guess prices have gone up? I got a BX trigger about a year ago for $65. As others have said, it's not the best trigger out there but it's definitely a big improvement over stock. I don't think I personally would need anything better than the BX.

Re: Ruger 10/22 garbage trigger, what to do?
My thoughts exactly. Last year I bought 2 for my charger and rifle at a good price. Definitely better than stock. The biggest improvement was getting rid of the retarded bolt catch thing and replacing it with the volquartsen one. Now, to release the bolt, I just pull it back and let go.

Re: Ruger 10/22 garbage trigger, what to do?
My 10/22 trigger is garbage. If you've shot a 10/22 you know this.
I've lost track of how many of these I have had pass through my possession, and I still have a few that were special or belonged to family. In full disclosure the newest one I have fired or fiddled with was probably made late 90's early 00's so I am assuming the more recent ones aren't utter garbage. If I am wrong on that LMK.
The ability to customize this platform is pretty neat, but I've never been the type to spend $$$ on a gun that is worth $$. I'm not knocking you if that is your thing, I shoot regularly with a friend who probably has more then $1k into his 10/22 and it just makes me shake my head. Gun looks great, but honestly shoots maybe slightly better then one of my average grade wally world standard edition 10/22.
TBH though my 10/22s are used to assassinate empty soda cans, clay birds, and ventilate 2 liter bottles. With an occasional punch of holes in cardboard rather then any competition.. so YMMV.

Re: Ruger 10/22 garbage trigger, what to do?
I agree that the way to view the 10/22 is as a platform, as the ar15 is a platform. Similarly, a base model with an inexpensive barrel, bolt, barrel, and trigger is not comparable to (for example) a model with a bull barrel (free floated or bedded, views differ), precision bolt, target trigger. You can wring a lot of accuracy out of the 10/22 platform for not a lot of money, but you can also piss away a lot of money for negligible improvement.
