80% arms is kind of p$#&ing me off with their emails
I'm probably alone on how i feel about this but...Every couple of days i get a fear mongering email from them about how all of these gun grabbers are coming after 80% stuff.
I get that it is a real threat. But i fail to see how buying more 80% stuff from them is the solution. I've seen far more proactive threads on here than in their emails.
I have their new kit coming and it is the only reason i signed up for their newsletter/promotions. At this point i don't think I'm even going to bother building the thing.
I know they can't control production delays with all of this covid stuff. But the excitement of something new (for me) has really been washed away by their constant reminders that i may be committing a felony in the future for bullshit laws that aren't even written yet just by owning their product.

Prey on the fear of your customer base that your product will become unavailable if they don't buy it now. They want to move product at the highest possible profit.
Yeah, it's annoying, but many gun/ammo retailers take that route.

Funny. I meant to unsubscribe before I deleted today's fear mongering email, but I forgot.

Re: 80% arms is kind of p$#&ing me off with their emails
I bought from them a few years ago and this just started maybe about a month ago.
I wonder if it's under new management or something.
I read a few, now I just delete. Doesn't really bother me because even if you think it's distasteful to make a profit that way, they're not wrong that their product is being targeted for illegal bans. Our own state tried to do it. Current times also call for gathering and potentially using their product. The gun market will naturally react (aka hoarding and panic buying) with or without their emails.
I'm not going to start turning on a company who is on our side just because I don't like their marketing department. Now, if they start acting like Dick's and contributing to anti-gun groups and start virtue signaling, that's a whole different story.
We shouldn't make our friends into enemies...but gun owners always do.Last edited by alpacaheat; August 11th, 2020 at 03:05 PM.

I complain about them - because they're mostly dumb. LOL
I rarely even look at PSA emails any more.
No deals - only inflated pricing.

And i ended up cancelling my order with them. They kept shifting the date further back. They were good about issuing a refund for what that is worth.
