I see from the FAQ that this is (basically) a "pistol only" club. Is this club useful for people interested in self defense?

That is, does it allow draw from holster, rapid fire and all those practices that are essential to "train like you carry"?

Rimfire rifle (.22 cal) are permitted as well as most caliber pistol. Self defense tactics you describe would be permitted only during Club sanctioned events.

Thanks for the update, I may go in tonight.

I must say I'll never understand clubs that essentially tell you "if you want to learn how to shoot fast/shoot from the holster in our matches, you'll have to learn in a match, under pressure, right here where we don't let you practice those same skills".
