    Default Current 80% status

Has there been anything new? Is the restriction still on hold and can I purchase an 80% lower still?

Last I heard it was fixed, but when I went to a local dealer to buy one. He said the PASP had not informed him he could sell it except as a firearm. So I decided it was not going to be worth my time and effort to buy one in PA.

Yes, a 80% lower can be purchased as a non firearm. The AG and PSP got hammered about this and figured they didn't want to tangle with the better (smarter) firearms lawyers in PA and the BATFE.

You will probably still run into FFL's that will tell you otherwise and they are the ones that also want to do a SP4-113 (ROS) on a stripped lower although that was changed in 2009!

Well this experience has introduced me to a lot of FFLs in Wayne County PA who want universal background checks and will not sell 80% lowers. Know your FFL. They may not be as 2A friendly as you might think they are. I appreciated their honesty with me, but I will not shoo them again, ever.

And those FFLs need to be publicly outed here to pay for their sins.

Buy 'em online. If you're not afraid of online banking and such. Cash only people will just have to deal with the Fudd FFL's.

Buying online leaves a paper trail too.
