Nice going 27hand. Very Nice buck, any doe tags need to be filled yet?

    I have one left.
My 2A doe tag was filled on old mans rifle doe season.
The National Ordnance 1903A3 hit where it was supposed to.
I'll wait on the last 2B tag till I come back from out west.
That might be a shotgun or Crossbow deer if I'd be lucky enough.

Have you been doing any hunting? Muzzle or bow?

Heres that buck on my trail cam seconds before I pressed the trigger.

Nah been staying close to home. I*ve been out a couple times, seen 1 buck that gave me the slip and 1 doe. Gonna be out tomorrow with the crew pushing bears I hope.

I*m looking forward to the elk hunt next year with my buddy and his son. Only 11 months away!

    My latest freezer candidate.

This guy has been nocturnal since he was in velvet.

He surprised me by coming in from behind me and walking quickly.
I pulled up the crossbow and only had a second to find a spot high on his back as he was quartering away and pressed the trigger hoping to get both lungs.
The bolt passed through and came out in front of his opposite shoulder. Gotta go find that tomorrow.

The Spitfire 100 3 blade did its job superbly.

He only ran about 35 or 40 yards and went down. Cool beans on a short drag. His last couple breaths made him slide another 40 yards down hill to a creek.

Drag up was too much. I called a buddy who showed up. We dragged him about 60 yards downstream, crossed a creek and into the back of his pickup.

Now, instead of hunting on the Sat after Thanksgiving, I\'ll be making jerky.
Very very nice buck! Those tines look great, congrats!!!

Good luck. I've noticed my mostly nocturnal bucks come around every other day. Small but legal 8 point a couple days ago.

No big racked bucks that either myself or my friend down the street has seen.
I went in there the following weekend. I got in 30 min before light and had a few deer snorting and running away when I walked in to my tree. I figured I wasn't going to see anything after that. I had one deer continue to snort until it got light. I finally seen it wandering off at 100 yrds. Around 8 I heard something walking so I grunted a couple times. Right away the monster 8 came walking out of some thick stuff heading right towards me. He turned and took a path that ended up putting him 55 yrds away broadside. It was foggy and my crossbow scope was fogged so it was hard to see if I had a clear shot. I grunted again. He started off at an angle to come around the back of my stand. While I was trying to turn around and get lined up for a shot, the seat of my climber dropped. It was LOUD. He stopped and looked in my direction for a few minutes then turned and slowly walked away. I never cinched down the straps on my climber seat and it probably cost me the biggest buck of my life. After that I seen two spikes, two four pointers and three doe. I also got a picture of a massive 5 pt on my trail cam I had setup on a nearby scrape. I was pretty bummed out but it was still one of the best days I've ever had hunting. The most deer and biggest buck I ever seen bow hunting. I've been back a few times and didn't see anything. I'm going to set up a couple cameras this week in some areas close by and see if anything is still around.

Wow. Sorry to hear you didn't score the big guy.
It does sound like a good day to have been in the woods.

I.put a camera on the gut pile. No coyotes but a fox every night and 4 deer sniffing around. . 2 small buck and a couple doe.

Is that big buck in a rifle area? If so, good luck next week.

Pic of my good friend out behind our house two weeks ago. He was just looking to feed his family, and he hit the jackpot with this once in a lifetime buck. I*ve never seen anything like this massive, thick rack in central PA. It*s more like something out of the Midwest. Three of us couldn*t get it on a 4 wheeler, So I had to get one of our farm tractors with a bucket:

Yinz should be ashamed of yourselves killing that beautiful creature. Can I have the backstraps?
