Re: Freezer candidates for hunt season 2020 /21
well, my freezer didn't come in yet.
Here's a couple . I think the one in front is a half rack but appears to have what I think is a drop tine. I don't think he's legal.

My wife shot all of these from our backyard. We feed them corn and she walks out to feed them and while the bucks move away from her, the does and fawns stay within arms length of her.
I am strictly forbidden from even talking about shooting one of *her* deer.
There’s no trick photography there, that’s the ‘boys club’ that comes by several times a day to feast.

That tall rack in the middle has about 11 points, or will have when they get out of velvet.

Re: Freezer candidates for hunt season 2020 /21
Nice. A month out for early archery.
Temperature usually dictates when I actually start.
" her deer" Ha.
I cant let my wife know when I " catch one"( her term) in the back yard.
I should be getting this guy from last season back pretty soon

Re: Freezer candidates for hunt season 2020 /21
One step closer.
I picked up my freezer today.
Now it's just a matter of filling it with 1 or 2 candidates.
I also talked to my elk outfitter yesterday and have a hunt date.
Having gotten this freezer, im hoping it isnt a bad luck omen. Its been quite a few years since I've gotten skunked.
Hope the lucky streak holds up.

Re: Freezer candidates for hunt season 2020 /21
Just pulled my camera card from the local property. Got a nice sized 7 or 8 pointer with the first picture on the camera. Just set out 3 more cameras on another new property I am hunting, so we'll see what I get off those cameras in a week or so. Hoping for a good year this year. Sorry for the poor quality, it's a picture off the screen as I didn't feel like uploading to my phone. But, you get the idea. Not huge, but not bad either. Another year or 2 and he'd be in his prime.

Re: Freezer candidates for hunt season 2020 /21
This is off my initial post and I put them all here. Getting pumped now.
For now, this guy seems like the best candidate.

I'd think about this one but the rack is narrow and a small bodied deer.

One of these is a decent 6 point so hopefully, he develops into a good candidate for next year.
