That is the phrase I was going to highlight. Legal privilege. Protesters currently have it in most jurisdictions.
Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.

yes and no they still are required to remain lawful even during a protest. Peaceful protest means speak your voice not prevent others right to free movement.

All these laws are only as good as the authority's willingness to enforce them.
No will to enforce = no such law.

    Two points:
    - yes, there was a protest of lawful gun owners, but there was no violence.

    - the current riots are nominally about "black lives mattering", but the reality is that most of the violence is coming from insane white people, although the looting seems to be mostly happy black people.

You mean like when they closed down the Pa turnpike about a year ago and the state police watched them for 2, 3 hours?

I hope more blacks are coming to realize they're being used as cannon fodder for white Marxists and anarchists. That's today's white supremacists.

Maybe Streaker can come up with a system to electrify the outside of the vehicle so that when the "Protesters" (violent, rioting, thugs) touch your car they get a wake up call. People fear being pulled out of the car and beaten to death, or close to it like Reginald Denny during the 1992 L.A. riots.
