What? I've got one for sale, and I'm agonizing over what to charge. If I sell it too soon, for too little, I'll be kicking myself if the price skyrockets afterwards.

I'm also thinking about selling one or more on Gunbroker for a profit

$1,000 is not out of the question for a basic M4 style carbine.
S&W M&P15 Sport II carbines are selling for $800 already from online vendors. You could get them for $450-$500 not long ago.

What I'm noticing is that the price of entry level stuff is increasing by a larger percentage than moderately expensive guns.
Things that were $1,200 before haven't jumped in price to the same degree as things that were $400 before.

Vendors are going to charge more for as long as people will buy them. God bless America.

The good news is that you can still BUILD a rifle without going broke.
Parts prices are up, but not to the extent that complete rifles are.
Parts may be difficult to find in stock, but so far, most things are available, and not TOO outrageously priced.
$79 bolt carrier groups are around $115-$120 - probably the part with the greatest increase that I've noticed.
Stripped uppers and lowers may be $10 more, but unlike past panics, they are readily available, at affordable prices - for now.

Over ten round magazines are going to be worth their weight in gold if Biden wins.

And then there's the 80% game ... If you planned ahead you can have a nice little stash of ready to make receivers for nominally low prices.

And if you planned a little more, you would have 100% lowers stashed and not have to dick around drilling holes in shit.

.223 and 5.56 ammo will be impossible to find if Biden wins. It's already tough to find and overpriced.
Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
