I've shot 9mm and 5.56 AR's side by side. The 9's actually seem to have a stronger recoil pulse. Probably because of the blowback operation and heavy bolt. Beside military and police use them.

When you say optics, are you also talking about non magnifying red dots as well?

Also, that's just for the "side shoot" - it doesn't pertain to the shoot in general.

Haha, maybe we can throw the rounds down range so we could get them after! That way, we can just score the dents in the target
