    Default 38 Special Personal Defense Ammo

    What 38 Special ammo are you using for personal defense, mostly home defense/nightstand gun? Brand? Standard pressure, +P? Hollow point or semi-wadcutter, or semi-wadcutter hollow point? Grain weight? Give me you reasons why you use what you do. Thanks.

    Hornady xtp, although the Lehigh Defense has me intrigued

    I have no data on the hornady, just read good things, and the hornady ammo I've used in the past has been flawless.

    Critical Defense 38spl,DO NOT use the Remington 125 gr defense,wife experienced squib load a few years back !,See SQUIB LOAD In Archives posted by me .

    Don't think there's a hell of a lot of difference in the major 125gr HPs. I still believe in Glaser Safety Slugs.

    And I doubt a block of Gello will be invading anytime soon.

    38 special +p 125 grain Hornady XTP. Well mainly because we reloaded them by accident. Fucking guys cant read a work order.

    158 gr SWCHP, +P FBI load.
    Proven load that I can duplicate reloading.
    Have also carried full WC loads.
