    You talking to me?

I think ~9K rounds in reserve ain't shabby.

Yes, I'm gonna up it to more like ~20K rounds as soon as feasible.

Less about I 'didn't learn' last time than that I've 'learned better' this time.

    Sigh.

At this point I've got 2K rounds FMJ each of what I shoot (9mm, .45, .223), and about 1K rounds each of 'defense' ammo: all of which I'm treating as strategic reserve "not to be used except in case of war".

For range/FMJ ammo, I'm basically "out" of .223 above that, and got a few hundred rounds of 9mm and .45 which I'm using (sparingly) for limited range trips and practice.

At this point my goal is just to buy a box or two at a time to replace what I'm shooting at the range, but even that is difficult.

I swear if we ever get back down below $0.30/round (case pricing), I'm bringing the 'reserve' of FMJ up to 5K each and the 'defense' to 2K each.
    Don't stop at 5000.

If it gets cheap again, buy twice as much as you shoot. It's a philosophy that will lead to random cases of 9mm scattered in closets all over your house, but you'll always be shooting as much as you want, panic or no panic.

Either a lot of wealthy motherfuckers here who piss and moan over one place selling a $520 AR15 vs a place selling one for $515... or a lot of lying motherfuckers.
