Default Sources for 9mm and .223 ammo

Holy crap is it hard to find... I haven't bought ammo in ages, but down to my last few-thousand rounds, so need to restock.

Anyone got any leads on places that have it in stock? Everywhere I look is all 'out of stock'.

Federal 5.56 55 grain 100 rounds $44. Not a great deal but seems to be available. I think free shipping over $49

AmmoSeek.com has been a good source to check many different places at once. Even then it*s been really miss and hit for me. It*s so bad right now that my normal source (sgammo.com) even shut their site down completely for a while today.

Just bought a case (1000) of federals 5.56 62gr for $549 at targetsportsusa.com. Free shipping. Not a fantastic price but given the current prices and availability its pretty good. Especially after someone on here offered me 500 rounds of the same brand for $600. LOL

Would be wise to hold off for a bit, until the stock gets back up and ammo prices settle down, I just saw a box of regular target 9mm 50 in a box for $47.99, no thanks. ammunition depot has some 223 and 5.56 in stock, but it seems a bit pricey right now

Just gotta keep your eyes on the usual spots and buy as soon as you see it pop into stock at a decent price.

Its been hard to find 9mm and 5.56/.223 especially. I managed to grab a couple boxes of Wolf 9mm and 5.56 and got lucky getting a box each of Gold Dot and HST at just about normal prices a few weeks ago, but since then I havent found any. Not that Ive been looking real hard.

I remember a few years ago when I built my first AR, PSA had a bunch of 5.56/.223 20 round boxes for $4 or $5 each, decent stuff. Wish we could go back to that right now lol.

instead I used the money I would have spent on ammo to buy a Dillon press by the time it's all said and done at the current pricing I'll be in about 4 cases (if that) of good .223. I have ammo stored up so this will end up paying for itself here shortly ...... after I am done reading the book ... twice.

I would wait, or seriously consider finding time from not reloading.

HKusp45.............hopefully you have primers, powder and bullets and you saved all your casings to do your reloading. These items have been gobbled up faster than loaded ammunition!
