Howdy y'all. I wanted to post on something more than politics on this page, as recent politics never ceases to get my blood up and hair to sizzle. Just wondering how many of y'all keep a dedicated First Aid Kit in your vehicle and what y'all have in em.

I'm glad you added "first aid kits" in your post because I have no idea what IFAKS means.

I have no idea what's in mine - I haven't looked in it in several years. Mostly stuff for cuts and burns since I do lawn care.
I bought a "red bag kit" that had basics in it and my wife (former nurse) picked up some things to add to it.
For anything "bad" it's probably mostly useless.

I'm better equipped for fires with TWO fire extinguishers. Ha.

I mean First Aid, but it can also relate to IFAKS. What these are Emptymag is a "Indivual First Aid Kit" in essence something tailored to you and something you would keep close at hand for trauma and bleeding control.

I have a bag full of stuff. There are bandaids to bandages. It's probably time to go through and inspect the contents.

I keep the following...

Massive Bleeding - Tourniquets, Pressure Bandages, Hemostatic Gauze
Airway - NPA/OPA, lube
Respiration - BVM, Chest seals, decompression needles
Circulation -
Hypothermia - Foil Blankets

Also some sam splints, C collars, aspirin, benadryl, shears, gloves, roller gauze, tape, eye shields, pen light, and band aids. Oh and a BP cuff, pulse ox and stethoscope.

Mine is pretty much just the basics that I know how to use for implementing MARCH, plus a couple OTC meds for everyday stuff. Not perfect, but better than nothing!

CAT Tourniquet
QuikClot Hemostatic Gauze
Z-fold Compressed Gauze (to pack after the hemostatic, if necessary)
Israeli Bandage/pressure dressing

NPA #28 w/ lube (to help keep airway clear)

Hyfin Vented Chest Seals (for penetrating trauma to chest to help prevent tension pneumothorax)
NAR Decompression needle (not for me--for use by somebody else with proper training, if we're unlucky enough to need it and they don't have their own)

Mylar blanket (helps prevent shock)

Nitrile gloves x3 pair
Trauma shears
Medical tape

Aspirin
Tylenol
Ibuprofen
Benadryl

In my tractor just basic stuff, narcan and a fire ext. In 3 million miles I've torn a couple sheets for compresses to stop bleeding, lost a couple blankets to accident victims, used fire ext and flares dozens of times and narcan once.
In my personal car, basic first aid, a thing for the mouth so I don't need to french kiss anybody, fire ext. a blanket, narcan, tow strap and flares.
Ibuprofen, Benadryl in both.

I have a small duffel bag in my trunk with all kinds of emergency supplies, including a first aid kit. Has medicine, small tools, flashlights with extra batteries, emergency blankets/ponchos, bottled water, knives, earplugs and eye protection, a belt to use as a tourniquet, duct tape and rope/paracord, fire starter, compass...really everything. Firearm will be on my hip.

Before the last 2A rally, I stocked it up with trauma supplies and bleed stop.

I grab this bag and throw it in the tent when camping too. It's come in handy actually.

An actual IFAK. My daughter (Army) bought it for me & taught me how all the stuff works years ago. Since then I've added an Israeli bandage. I try to refresh on training once a year, but come to think of it I haven't this year (yet).
