Bulk silica gel for your gun safe?

Placed an order late last night. Received a shipping notification today. They are in California. Assuming they get it to the post office today, I'll give them credit for doing their part.

When I first got my safe, I tried all of these things to keep it less humid.

In the end, I bought a Goldenrod. NOTHING beats a Goldenrod for humidity along with an app to let you know the humidity at any time.

And if i had an outlet even remotely nearby, that might be an option.

So if anyone already has an Eva-Dry, use THAT to monitor when it's time to dry the crystals, even if you have additional bulk crystals that don't change colors.

If they are distributed fairly evenly throughout the safe, they should all absorb moisture at pretty much the same rate/level, so you really only need a small sample of "changing" crystals, if they are indeed reliable, like those in the Eva-Dry seem to be.
