Coworker had a MIM gas key break within the last week in an M and P sport. This ISN'T to say that non-MIM gas keys don't shit the bed every once in a while. From what I have been told, his wasn't staked properly and being loose is bad juju for any key.

The Walther p22 used to be notorious for cracking slides. No idea how it is made. But what it was made out of was probably the bigger issue.

Re the Sig .22 slide... single happening, or a recall matter? I am suggesting that the potential for an occasional failure would need analyzing on many levels. Design flaw, metallurgical problem, and so on.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
