    Default SKS failure to extract

I have a Yugo SKS with a failure to extract. I think this is a common gas issue. Looking for a recommendation on a gun shop that has done this sort of work in York County.

Once fixed, i plan to sell it.

    Thanks,

If it’s a 59/66 with the on/off gas valve for the grenade launcher then it’s an easy fix. Just buy a new replacement gas valve. I’ve bought quite a few “gun smith specials” over the years on the cheap which required a new clean oversized valve.

The rifle isn’t fully cycling due to a lack of gas. Just make sure your valve is currently set to semi auto and it’s not turned off which will make it into a single shot and you will have to manually cycle the bolt.

    These are the best.

    Thanks,
Curious if you've still got this, I was looking to pick up a Yugo if the issue with the extract got resolved. Used to have one over a decade ago, ended up selling it before I really got into range plinking regularly, loved that particular one.

I do. It was fixed at the Carbon and Steel Sporting Goods store in West York, They fired a whole box of ammo through it and said it is good to go. They are selling it on consignment for me. 717 792 4667,
