Re: Troopers shoot and kill man in Monroe County
I wonder if the untold thousands of elderly people who were saved from a very painful, prolonged, lonely death on their kitchen or bathroom floor share the same anti welfare check zeal as so many of the folks here.
This place is hilarious.

Unless there's a child locked in the car, police shouldn't respond to idiots that lock themselves out of their car. If they don't have a relative that can bring an extra set of keys, they should consider getting a AAA membership. Or do what I do, hide a key somewhere on the outside of the car. I've been doing that since I had my first car and locked them at Pinnacle Point. I never thought to call the police, but we did have a nice older couple drive us into town so I could grab my extra set then drive us back.

Re: Troopers shoot and kill man in Monroe County
It's impossible to eliminate all pain and suffering, and ensure that everyone is in good health until the moment their time comes. It's each individual's responsibility to prepare and deal with the challenges of everyday life. A deficit, regardless of the root cause, is not automatic justification to shift the burden of responsibility to the government.

Re: Troopers shoot and kill man in Monroe County
They're statistically irrelevant (tens of thousands of people still die unattended), and have the added "benefit" of occasionally killing folks who are otherwise not near death. At best, it's a very expensive net null.
They should be done away with, unless someone proactively opts in, and perhaps pays a small fee (kind of like the local "ambulance club").Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.
