What's the smallest reason you sought out a new firearm ?

I figure we as a group, need very little motivation to buy a new gun

Some of my memorable:
1) Finding out I could convert my DPMS AR10 to 6.5creedmore with only a barrel, then realizing I could build another AR10 with my spare .308 barrel.

2) Finding a box of 338 Lapua nickel brass at the range that the owner left because they didn't reload, to buying a F-class scope, 338 reloading setup and supplies, and awaiting Ruger PR 338s to come back in stock to pick one up.

3) Finding a Glock 26/27 357sig conversion barrel in a box of barter parts, now wasting time looking for Glock 26/27 deals because a barrel is a terrible thing to waste.

Guns that I didn't real want or need but the price was too low to pass by.

Did this with my M&P 40c 2.0. $299 and free shipping. Didn't have another 40cal at the time but since have then bought a Ruger pc40 because, well, now I can justify buying lots of 40 ammo.

I heard it had the shoulder thing that went up, and came with high capacity automatic clips.

Also, it was shiny.

Another time, I had space in a safe after gifting some stuff.

This one applies to me. I have bought auction lots of ammo, and ended up with ammo and no gun. Right now I have 250 rounds of 30 Luger and no gun to shoot it in. It is a shame Swiss Lugers are so expensive...
