Default Sig Romeo 5 red dot question

I'm looking into getting the Sig Romeo 5 red dot and have a question. I know it has the motion activated on feature, so lets say you turn it off to transport it on your rifle to the range. Will the red dot be on the whole time due to movement while being transported? I wouldnt want this scenario to shorten the battery life.

    Just received my Romeo5 today.

To use the motion activation, the optic must be left on. You have to turn it on , then after 120 seconds of non movement, it shuts off automatically. Then any movement at all will turn it on.

If you hold one of the intensity arrow buttons down, the optic shuts off, and the motion activation does not work.

Yes. Motion from a vehicle will turn the optic on.

How 'bout THAT! I wouldn't know - I got the bargain model that comes in a cardboard box - with no instructions.

Great sight. Happy I found it for $104 shipped.

Also, it's a little silly to worry about draining the battery on a trip to the range considering the absurdly long battery life that the current crop of red dots have.
I have a dot with a fraction of the battery life of the Romeo 5 and I leave it on 24/7 - and it doesn't shut itself off.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
