    Question Red dot Confusion

I have a Bushnell red dot #25 on my pistol. I watched a number of videos on how to adjust it but I'm as confused as ever. It seems to be about 2 inches high and 2 inches to the right on the bull's-eye. All I want to know is which way do I turn the adjustment screws. This is a stupid question I know, but I'm getting nowhere fast. Joe

The directions indicated on an optic always move the strike of the round in that direction. So you need to adjust the windage and elevation left and down, respectively. And if you tell us the distance you were at as ArmyVet was alluding to, we'll tell you the number of clicks to move those adjustments. [Is the TRS25 a half MOA adjustment?]

The manual says: "The Elevation Adjustment Screw is located on top of the sight, while the Windage Adjustment Screw is located on the right side." But it does not bother to say which way to turn the adjustment screws to get what change. So you're gonna have to go by trial and error.

Suggest you adjust one direction first, eg elevation, by adjusting a quarter turn (or 3 clicks if it clicks) clockwise. If you are higher or off the paper, double the adjustment counterclockwise. You should be able to fine tune from there. Then write down which adjustment direction is for high. Repeat in similar fashion for windage.
