Re: 80% gets you 10 years in Rhode Island
Look at the percentage of people who believe things that simply defy physics and logic. That will never change. The existence of the internet gives opportunity to learn accurate true facts instantly. Instead, it is loaded with so much BS, that opportunity is degraded.
People who know nothing about guns are like people who know nothing about photography. If a certain model of camera was vilified as the most-used in child porn and declared illegal, a large percentage of non-photographers would likely think it good law.
"Leaders" are pushing laws in irresponsible manner. They skip the part where they learn about the subject first. We need law that requires law-makers to show their research and justify their conclusions before allowing the vote and signing to proceed. There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

I haven't read it, nor will I, but perhaps you can add a SN to existing "ghost guns" in order to register them - for future confiscation?
Sounds like they are mostly concerned with being able to trace all guns. (which is the entire point of 80% guns)I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: 80% gets you 10 years in Rhode Island
The gov will not:
Stop rioting
Stop looting
Stop the burning of businesses
Stop the toppling of statues
Stop people in the CHOP zone handing out guns from the trunk of their car to strangers (likely felons)
They will not do any of that, but are going to come after you for a gun from the 1800's with no serial number.
It is past time to stop listening to these edicts which punish the law abiding yet allow Insurrectiomists to continue their work unimpeded.
Fuck them. I am done. The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Shrug. I see the courts slapping this down quickly.

Re: 80% gets you 10 years in Rhode Island
With the same results we usually get. Either the courts find in constitutional. Or they find it unconstitutional with the other side filing an appeal and filing a stay on the law until the appeal is decided. Or have any favorable ruling flipped on an En Banc ruling.
With Roberts on the supreme court who is supposed to be pro second amendment good luck if it goes that high and we have the same set up on that court.

Re: 80% gets you 10 years in Rhode Island
ironically that statement about them being printed is incorrect the majority are not printed they are injection molded by a company. These idiots are back at it again speaking on shit they have zero understanding of. Granted you can print a gun but the reality of it is your going to do a shit ton of work to make it operate and then you hope you printed with the right number of walls and layer heights with a proper material for it to hold up.
I hate these idiots they have no idea what they are talking about.
