Burying the hatchet is a great way to open minds.

U think it's safe to say with the blatant over reach by these leftists if there are additional gun laws I don't plan on abiding by them...these people are acting completely nuts while we're armed imagine what they'd be like if we weren't. I'm not going to abide by illegal laws to find out...

I posted a year or two ago that this is exactly how the left would in effect establish gun control. Ammo registration and HUGE surcharges for mental health, etc in addition to overly penal taxes.
And then they'll make reloading an illegal activity, or at the very least subject to expensive and time consuming paperwork.
    Count on it.

On Monday, a coalition of 16 attorneys general, all of them Democrats, filed a friend of the court brief arguing that the California law is constitutional and urged the court to permanently vacate the district court’s injunction.

If you live in Illinois, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, or Washington you should know that your attorney general has given the green light for your state legislature to implement California-style ammunition control if they want.
Doesn't work that way. Two different branches of government.

    I know I should care.

But OTOH, I got >25,000 rounds stored away. So I don't.

The DAs of the states in question are simply telling the legislatures not to worry about constitutional challenge of the ammo registration
proposal. Supreme Court refused to hear such case from CA.

Nothing new about ammo registration laws. Started in 1968 Gun control act. In the 80s handgun ammo registration was rescinded due in part to the ATF testifying to the paperwork nightmare and the ineffectiveness of stopping crime.

I am sorry to harp on this, and even though there are more gun owners today than anytime in the past, our political influence is weak and no longer puts fear of political future of our leaders.

THAT is exactly what needs to change.

    But it won't.

Fact remains the overwhelming majority of gun owners are basically Karens. They have their gun to protect themselves... but they still outwardly won't stand up and defend their right to have it.
