    Same. I give to GOA.

I haven't joined, but I'm considering becoming a life member to vote for people on the board who want to improve things. Like lprgcfrank/Frank Tait, who is a member here.

I am a member so I can vote for the leadership the NRA needs going forward.

The NRA isn’t going away, it can do big things, and the NRA does a lot outside of politics as far as supporting programs and clubs. Every year they pay the bill for two fantastic free shooting programs for women in my area that I volunteer at. You have to look at the big picture. The NRA needs To be changed, not abandoned.

How many of these anti-NRA threads do we need? Asking for a friend...

My intention wasn't to start an anti nra thread. I'm seriously asking. I've been scouting shooting ranges and one of them nearby requires an nra membership which I've purposely avoided. I'm honestly trying to gauge if my resistance is unfounded stubbornness or not.

The NRA membership requirement gives them access to a discount insurance program.

The nra has changed for the better over the years. It happened before, and it can happen again.

But you have to be a member to vote.

And you should be, because like it or not, they matter the most at the federal level, and they have helped here.
