That .41 Magnum could blow your leg clean off, so what you got to ask yourself is, do you feel lucky?

Well guys, a bit of an update.

But first....thansk very much cruzans!! I'll be anxious to hear from you.

I haven't heard from S&W yet, but my neighbor made a call to a high end rifle company. I don't mention their name as I'm sure this is a favor, but they are willing to blue the 29 for me. So, it's an option if nothing pans out at S&W..

If you end up paying out of your pocket to re-blue the gun, why not go up a level and have it color case hardened by Turnbull?

Sorry should have specified - an ADDITIONAL 10 rounds over a wheel gun... Not 10 total

Most people have dreams in which they are helpless and unable to move, due in part to the fact that your body generates a chemical which suppresses your muscles, so that you don't flail around and kill the baby while sleeping. Many people dream of being chased by monsters, but their legs won't move. Gun people dream that they can't make the gun fire. I imagine that ATV people dream that they can't start their quad to get away. And Democrats dream that they can't get a new tax bill enacted.

Judging from the pics, I'm surprised that S&W hasn't just replaced your revolver. It appears that it may be an issue with the metal itself. Keep yapping at 'em. I've always had great customer service from S&W. I sent back my 386SC that I screwed up the sear on and they fixed it for free. I also sent back a T\C Encore that some idiot who professes himself to be a T\C Guru did a trigger job on. The Guru's hammer spring must have come from a Trip-axle leaf spring. I could not reasonably pull the hammer back. Again, fixed no charge.
